Last night's Corvallis os GIS meeting was about PostGIS... Suggest you follow Matt's lead and use vritualbox. I plan on beefing up his notes and posting them. I will put a link up here too. For example you can isolated instance of Ubuntu with 9.2 postgres in a virtual machine and will have no collisions. Brian
